My experience is that as leaders we become shaped by the increased experience and knowledge in our enterprises, thereby increasing our capacity to ‘work on our businesses’, as a rich repository. This only happens if we see each other as willing co-collaborators of our learning’s and expectations. As a business growth practitioner, I am constantly exhorting leaders, organisations and myself to use increased experience and knowledge to foster our increasing capacity to grow, from the bottom up by integrating the ownership of new initiatives throughout our organisations as the most viable approach. Our highest growth clients use shared experience and knowledge as the most viable integrator to develop the skills and capacity to grow their businesses. The ownership of extra-ordinary performance then becomes the ownership of individual and the collective to committed improvement goals, as an ongoing and sustained process of ‘raising the bar’ working off stable and ever evolving performance platforms. How does your business do this?
